Time Out, or Game Over?

by Rab Clark

Rev. Stuart Campbell tends to be right in his forecasts and he proved it again this week.

So this tweet from yesterday should act as a wake-up call for many.

Whether or not Sturgeonistas want to admit it publicly or not, the attempt to make Swinney's coronation look like a 'seamless transition' etc has not convinced.

In our latest NHTW collection of btl commentary from Wings readers we noted the fact that John Swinney was not viewed as a serious contender for FM at any point before Humza's resignation speech - if he was mentioned at all it was only to underscore his lack of interest in the role.

@WingsScotland

So basically the SNP stall for another two years. And then they'll be out of power so the pressure will be off. Indy is dead for a decade minimum. Well done, Sturgeon fans.

We're curious to hear what readers make of this.

Should we all just call it a day and reconvene at some point in 2034?

Or what?
