This post is short because the point of it is very simple.
Imagine being stuck in a house party you attended against your will and being forced to stay there long after most other 'guests' have left.
How many nations have regained their independence from the British empire/commonwealth in the past century or so?
As a point of principle, do those nations accept that Scotland, as a sovereign nation, has the right to leave? Has anyone ever asked them?
If not, why not?
